3 DAYS – ONLINE GUITAR CAMP

Welcome to Soukous Online Camp Village!

Soukous and Rumba music have been our speciality for many years. We believe in this music with a passion, and want to inspire others to enjoy this eternal and universal guitar style.

This one-off Camp will be led by guitarist Otis Lumumba and based on our awesome Soukous and Rumba guitar styles. The Camp welcomes all stages – from beginners to intermediate and advanced. All levels of guitar proficiency are welcome and our aim is learn, play great music and have lots of fun.

Students will work on songs they have always wanted to learn from Congolese rumba to Soukous style. This will lead onto specific areas including rhythm guitar playing, scales and perfecting classic songs. By the end of the camp, we guarantee that you will be playing soukous and rumba music with a professional, sweet and beautiful touch.

We believe in doing one thing very well, and that knowledge is best learned through experience. Our method is based on the students’ love and enthusiasm for music.

All of our courses are highly interactive. We encourage our students to participate and ask questions, as well as to share any information that may help the class.

Every student has a natural ability, and at Otis Lumumba Go Where the Guitar Takes You, we incorporate a unique blend of studies to help every student achieve and recover their ‘natural’ rhythm – not only in music, but also in life.

Students will be placed in small groups on the zoom platform. Each group will alternate between specialised music. The classes are designed to be enlightening and relaxing with plenty of breaks in between.

Before the end of each camp session, students can complete their day’s learning, discuss what they have learned during the session and assimilate the day’s activities.
